Mr. Ziad Zein, Project Communication Manager, and Mr. Rani Al Achkar, Project Technical Coordinator from the LCEC participated in an Exhibition/Brokerage event titled Green Mind Day at the North of Lebanon on Monday June 9, 2014; the event was a great opportunity to present the project to different actors in the field of sustainability as well as to distribute the Project’s communication materials.
The Green Mind Day was held at IXSIR, Basbina, Batroun – Lebanon. A Lebanese winery that has won the 2011 Green Good Design Award, as part of the annual Green Good design Awards presented by the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
During the event, the project team had the chance to meet representatives from yet another ENPI CBC MED project, MED3R tackling the reduction of waste by means of sorting at source and recycling at the local level. Possible areas of collaboration were discussed, specifically within the context of work package 6 - innovative financing mechanisms and pilot solar ordinances.
