The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), and within the MED-DESIRE project, is organizing an awareness-raising event at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon on July 23 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The event aims at spreading awareness about energy conservation and climate change issues, which could be easily tackled through positive changes in the daily life.
The event is starting with a presentation on energy efficiency and renewable energy to introduce the children (5-18 years old) to the various ways of saving energy and the different renewable energy sources and their importance in the global battle against climate change.
The event includes many interactive activities such as “Climate Bingo”, “Guess the Lyrics”, “Match the Source” and True or False questions that deliver messages in an educational and collaborating way.
This event is aligned with the LCEC’s continuous efforts in spreading awareness amongst the young generation about energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy at the individual level. LCEC believes that the youth are the most important assets of the future and educating and raising their awareness of the values and benefits of energy conservation can make a remarkable difference in achieving a bright and sustainable future.
