Updating and state of art of the project
The third MED-DESIRE Steering Committee and Technical & Scientific Committee meetings took place in Bari-Italy on the 1st of April 2014 and was organized by the Coordinator Puglia Region and its implementing agency ARTI. The TSC was mainly devoted to planning the country specific actions that must be implemented in WP5 – Tools to remove barriers preventing distributed solar technology uptake by local markets coordinated by CIEMAT and WP6 – Innovative financial schemes and market stimulation tools to spread energy efficiency and distributed solar energy technology coordinated by the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea. The actions to be implemented are mostly training, capacity building, stakeholders involvement, elaboration/adaptation of financial instruments and solar ordinances.
The possible valorization of the concluded WP4 – Distributed solar technologies state of the art analysis results reached by ENEA has also been discussed and a list of policy recommendations to remove the main barriers to the diffusion of renewable energy and energy efficiency has been provided. Finally, a specific focus was devoted to the financial aspects, in particular to the project budget overview and changes and the procedure for the submission of the first interim report.
The SC was mainly devoted to summarising the financial situation of the project and of the single partners. In particular it allowed to summarize the main issues regarding the expenditures accounting and forecasting.
