On Sunday October 11, the Intercontinental CityStar Hotel in Cairo (Egypt) will host the MED-DESIRE International conference, promoted by the Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA).
The conference is part of the activities of capitalization of results of the strategic project MED-DESIRE (MEDiterranean Development of Support schemes for solar Initiatives and Renewable Energies) aiming at spreading energy efficiency across the Mediterranean area through the definition of innovative financial schemes and market stimulation tools and implemented under the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme.
The initiative will count on the presence of international experts who will discuss about Mediterranean energy cooperation policies and experiences of the European Union for 2020, as well as the latest legislative developments and innovative facilities on energy for the next period, in accordance with the guidelines set by the European Union on Energy and Climate Change.
Participants will also learn the experiences in energy efficiency and renewable energy of the representatives of countries of the Mediterranean Basin involved in MED-DESIRE project, exchanging points of view in these areas within the legal, regulatory, economic and organizational field.
The international conference will be divided into 4 main sessions: after the introduction speeches and the press conference, there will be the first session devoted to the discussion about Mediterranean energy cooperation policy and experiences; the second session will be devoted to a roundtable about renewable energy and energy efficiency market in the Mediterranean area.
In the afternoon, there will be a company flash presentations session and then a B2B meetings session in order to make networking with other companies.
