3rd edition of the Lebanese fair on green issues

On June 4, 5 2014 MED-DESIRE will participate to EcOrient, the 3rd International Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability and Clean Energy in Beirut (Lebanon).

Organized by IFP in partnership with the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES) with the support of the Lebanon Green Building Council (LGBC), EcOrient is a meeting point for national and international experts on energy, sustainability and environment and the policy makers.

The Conference aims to promote the application of sustainable developments and green technologies in the MENA region, encouraging technology transfers from Europe and contributing to the awareness of the general public towards environmental problems and possible solutions.

EcOrient objectives are consistent with the goals of MED-DESIRE, the project co-funded by the European Union under the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007-2013 that aims at spreading energy efficiency, and in particular, solar energy across the Mediterranean area through the definition of innovative financial schemes and market stimulation tools.

The Lebanese two-days will be an excellent opportunity to introduce the project to a diversified audience, composed of institutional representatives, experts and companies operating in the renewable energies field, technicians, professionals and students.
